Objective journalism is one of the main reasons that American politics has been allowed to be so corrupt for so long- Hunter S. Thompson
Speaking of people who hate their country, what is wrong with our journalists? What ever happened to “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country?” It’s almost like years of bribing constituents and pay for play schemes have corroded the foundation of America.
With President Trump’s decision to end DACA (in six months with plenty of opportunities for DREAMERS to prepare and for Congress to act), journalists and media talking heads are currently running around shrieking like a dog caught in a bear trap.
This whole illegal immigration discussion is horribly distorted. Of course Congress uses this distortion to exist in perpetual gridlock so they don’t actually have to do anything! Gridlock is the perfect excuse for non-performance, “I wanted to healthcare reform but those a**holes on the other side just wouldn’t let me!”
Sure. Good one Generic Senator number 43™!
Well screw them, this blog has never been about Congress and their constant barrage of lies. It has always been about the people. And I’m here to tell my American family that illegal immigration doesn’t have to be the salt we lay on the ground after we burn the forest.
We don’t have to approach each other like we’re talking to the anti-christ because they don’t agree with us. If you would just give somebody the benefit of the doubt that they too have a heart and don’t want the world to suffer we could actually come together as a people.
Take the illegal immigration mentioned above. Illegal immigration across the southwest border is down more than 60 percent so far under President Trump. And this was way back in April. Now before you jump on my back look at this other figure.
In a report by Fox News, Texas construction companies admitted that Trump’s increased enforcement of immigration was forcing them to pay higher wages to U.S. construction workers.
Half of the workers in construction in Texas are undocumented…We’ve seen direct construction costs climb by over 30 percent…and a lot of that is directly attributed to what builders are having to pay their subs and trades in wages.-Stan Marek, CEO of Marek Construction
For all those marching for a $15 minimum wage maybe you should look at how it’s impossible to compete with illegal immigrants that are so desperate that they will work for half of your pay. Wouldn’t a complete immigration revamp that made it easier for people to immigrate while following the rule of law work better? Isn’t that better than keeping everything the same and offering amnesty every 15 years?
And to any illegal immigrant reading this. Think of this, say you’re granted amnesty and your children are citizens. Your children will then have their opportunities limited by new batches of illegal immigrants who they have no hope of competing against. Wouldn’t it be better if immigration was both safer and fairer?
Even though progressives claim to be about…well progress I guess…they are some of the most backwards and limited people I’ve ever met. They couldn’t look forward with a DeLorean.
I mean look at this crap! Watch this video.
What the hell is he even talking about! Trump’s work in Houston is pretty well documented.
I’ve spoiled the big reveal where I reveal to you the guilty parties. In case you still didn’t pick up on it, it’s the progressives. And specifically the progressive journalist. You see they want to have it their way or the highway. They’re like that 80 year old boss that forces you to work like it’s 1901. Even worse when a new boss comes in suggesting a whole new process the old man does everything he can to get the new boss fired.
When your newspaper reads like a gossip column you have a problem. When your newspaper reads like a gossip column about your President, then you have a catastrophe.
That is not to say that people shouldn’t criticize the President, Tulsi Gabbard manages to do so without sounding like Maxine Waters.
I’ve never been to journalism school. I feel no particular loyalty to any journalist on TV and the only name that brings me any pride is the sad case of Dorothy Killgalen. Maybe there are no more good reporters or journalist or whatever their called. Maybe they are all so corrupted by their corporate masters that they are just mouth pieces. Who knows? No matter what the truth is, they suck.
Their stories are boring, their hysterics are an instant eye roll, and underneath their “objectivity” is a thinly veiled agenda to manipulate the American people. At some point journalism and newspapers went from something that needed to be protected by the First Amendment, to an industry that is run by the Government.
“Never underestimate the difficulty of changing false beliefs by facts,” said the economist Henry Rosovsky once said. And boy does the Media make that almost impossible.
Here is some news for y’all, everyone has an agenda. Everybody has their biases. Much like our emotions we cannot deny them and pretend we don’t have them. Whether we acknowledge them or not they influence our choices and our actions. What we have to do is acknowledge we have them and be honest.
If I seek anything with you my people, it is honesty and openness. I will never hide my biases or try to mislead you. I’m a biased women living in a crazy day and age where truth is harder to find than a Kardashian’s chastity.
I don’t like the MSM, and I don’t like CNN. No matter where people fall on the political spectrum most people have to grit their teeth when listening to these two bit hacks with the Deep States hand so far up their butt when they open their mouths you can see a hint of some fingers.
Perhaps the beginning of the end came with the advent of “advocacy journalism,” and the idea of “Hey, let’s hide our opinions under carefully manufacture facts!”
Advocacy journalism wouldn’t be so bad if they were honest obviously, and if they were in touch with most Americans. I’m not talking about the liberal conservative spectrum. I’m talking about struggling to get paid America, the America that has to worry about car payments and house payments. Not the party in the Hamptons and sip champaign with corporate C.E.O.s bull crap life that these wannabe “celebrity” journalists pretend they are.
This trend isn’t new, look at the 1972 presidential election, Nixon carried every state except Massachusetts. Still, 81 percent of journalists voted for George McGovern that year. In 1980, twice as many journalists voted for Jimmy Carter over Ronald Reagan. In 1984, 58 percent of journalists voted for Walter Mondale, who lost to Ronald Reagan in the biggest landslide in presidential election history.
No wonder the pollsters and every news organization got 2016 wrong, they’re so insular and incestuous that they couldn’t tell you the difference between Minnesota and Arkansas. So any journalist “advocating” for any issue, doesn’t know crap about Americans.
We can’t kill this three headed hydra of business, corporate journalism, and government by taking off a head, instead we need to rip out its heart.
The heart of this monstrous beast is an ignorant America. As the story goes man once built a ladder to heaven, when God found this ladder he scattered the people and gave them different languages so they could never unite and build another latter. Let’s not let corporate journalists convince us that we shouldn’t come together and put America first.
So you Fake News bastards you just lost one. I hope the rest of you join me.
